Breast Surgery //
Augmentation, Reduction, Lift
Breast AugmentationAlso known as augmentation mammoplasty, this involves the surgical placement of breast implants to increase fullness and improve symmetry of the breasts, or to restore breast volume lost after weight reduction or pregnancy. General anesthesia is required and incisions can be placed under the breast, around the nipple or in the axilla (arm pit), depending on patient preference. We have all implants available (smooth, textured, round, shaped, saline, silicone) and chose the ideal one to give you the look you desire. Recovery is in the order of ten days to two weeks depending on your activity level.
Breast Reduction: Also known as reduction mammoplasty, breast reduction removes excess breast fat, glandular tissue and skin to achieve a breast size in proportion with your body and to alleviate the discomfort associated with overly large breasts.  A significant uplift to the breasts is also achieved.  Scarring is around the nipple down the front of the breast and in the crease under the breast.  general anesthesia is required and recovery is about two weeks. Insurance often covers this procedure if the reduction in volume fits their criteria.
Breast Lift: A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, raises the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour. Scarring can be minimal, simply around the nipple or  extensive as in a breast reduction, depending on the extent of droop, or ptosis. General anesthesia or sedation is required and recovery is usually about one week.
